Sometimes despite our best efforts, we can feel engulfed by darkness. Negative self talk, self criticism, pessimism…….can lead to decreased motivation as well as feelings of helplessness. Thoughts like I’m not enough, I’ll never get anywhere, I’m not as smart as they are, I look so ugly…….can be so powerful in shaping our outlook. Sometimes you might not even realize that you are doing it and it becomes just part of who you are. I wanted to create an image to remind myself that I want to rid those thoughts of their power. Thoughts that I am not good enough are now challenged with positivity and compassion.
