I love this time of year. I love the time I get to spend with my boys………..our hectic lifestyle is put on hold, and with the change of pace, we are almost forced to remind ourselves of what is most important. Today, for me, can be summed up with one simple word….. laughter. I watched the boys playing in the snow and was captivated by their uninhibited happiness. They were overcome with sheer happiness. Not a care in the world. And I thought to myself, why is this so often lost to us as adults? We laugh when things are funny and when they are not supposed to be funny and we most certainly laugh at the most ridiculous states of ourselves, but where is that laugh….that comes straight from our belly, when we are so engulfed in the experience? I stood there at the bottom of the hill for a few minutes pondering this question. I decided to participate in this joy the boys were experiencing. Forget what most parents were doing…….The heck with being a “grown up”. I jumped on the back of that sled, and without warning I laughed without inhibition. I laughed til I cried…..It was a fabulous afternoon. I encourage each and everyone of you to go on…..get your laugh on!!!!!
